Another reason to have school uniforms is that it makes schools safer. Uniforms can help in a lot of ways one was is “ Uniforms can cut back on gang wars, which often start when two kids wearing identifying colors of opposing gangs clash. Schools with uniform policies also report fewer suspensions and acts of vandalism” (Should you have to wear a school uniform). Another reason is that “I think it’s a good idea for kids to wear school uniforms. If school uniforms don’t have pockets then kids won’t have any place to hide things. Also, uniforms help kids feel like they are a part of a group” (Byrd)
